Picked up this 99 TD in an estate buy. The case is of good quality.

Were these ever a factory offering? I can find no markings on the case indicating a maker.

OK, I'll guess 1928 30-30 on the rifle. LOL

Isn't the case just a generic leg-o-mutton case available for various applications? Nice shape all the way around!

Thanks! I am a flipper, not a collector. This set will be for sale, just hoping to get a little history on the case.

303 Savage...I believe 1928 is correct.

Sure could be just a generic case.

Betting it's period correct to the gun, but I don't think it's one that Savage sold. Here's the 1928 cases from the catalog, and I've seen a couple cases that match their case.

Based on barrel length, I’m guessing the case was designed for a double barrel shotgun.
