I purchased my oldest grandson his PA mentor hunting permit just yesterday. That was probably the best $3 I have ever spent! He was visiting today and has been itching to hunt but his dad had to work today. I had the pleasure of taking him to the squirrel woods this morning for his first ever hunting adventure. I didn't hold a lot of hope because it was rather breezy, but the hunting gods were smiling. After about 45 minutes, 8-yr old Bentley cleanly harvested his first critter, a nice black squirrel. Hid dad's Marlin strikes again. He set the bar rather high for his hunting career. I sort of hope not every adventure results in a taxidermy bill but you can't take it with you. I don't know who was more excited - me or him. Praise the Lord for grandchildren and creating memories! Be well..................
Making memories in the woods with Grandpa, Very nice way to get him started!
