I rely on my handsome good looks and charm.

When I walk into any room men are instantly in awe and slightly jealous by the manner in which I conduct myself with purpose.

The temperature of the room tends to raise a bit when women are present and they get flustered, as they can't take their eyes off me.

It's a gift..

Obviously, I don't know the circumstances of your encounter, but there are circumstances where you can be taken by surprise, such that even if you are armed, you will be a victim.

But you still might be able to have the last word.........LOL.

To be candid about it, I refuse to be where I feel compelled to carry a weapon every minute of the day.

A guy needs to be able to go hot on the dog beatin' Fed Ex man at a moments notice, so yes, it's a good idea to carry all the time.

Funny you mention that...

FedEx dropped off 15 gals of AW68 just yesterday and the driver commented on the AK leaning against my truck bed.

Condition 2 of course...

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Around my digs, the most likely problem would be a nasty dog, or a rabid skunk or fox. My son had to put down a skunk in his yard a couple of years ago. I shot one for my neighbor here about 30 years back, but it was already in paralysis. Still, something of the sort is out here most nights. A pocket .22 is no burden at all. Out in the real world, such as it is around here, I go bigger, especially if the little woman is in tow.

A true statement.

But how sad is it, that this is true?

America contains multiple cultures. One needs to be armed to frequent the areas which contains some cultures. But there are pockets in America where life goes on much like it did in days gone by. It's all rural.

Caucasians who choose to live in the cities these days pays their money and takes their chances.

I was sitting in my porch swing in the city I lived in when a black panhandler walked up on the porch and asked for money.

That told me that it was time to leave. The city is much worse today than it was then. It was the correct decision.
