As above I am selling my pre-64 Winchester Model 70 264 magnum. According to Rule the receiver was manufactured in 1959 and the 264 was released in 1960. This rifle could
be one of the earliest 264's. That said this rifle IS NOT a collector grade piece! The stock has been refinished and has some marks and dimples, the worst
of which is pictured on top of the comb. The metal work is in good condition with minor bluing wear but nothing horrid and no deep scratches. There is no
rust. By naked eye the bore is in good+ condition. I had no problem getting the gun to shoot <1 1/2 inch groups. The front site hood is missing. The bolt
is serial numbered to the receiver. I would think
this rifle is 85+% condition but not collector grade by any stretch. The scope is a Leupold reproduction of a Lyman Alaskan 6x. There are minor finish marks
however the glass is mint. Duplex reticle. Rifle and scope Shipped and Insured to your FFL for $2400.00.
I am also selling a 2 die set of RCBS dies and 70 pcs. of Remington 264 brass, not until rifle sells and rifle buyer will have first chance.

Not bad at all for a 70+ year old hunting rifle. I don't shoot the 2 that I have now so I probably shouldn't even be looking at this one.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!
