Always carry a sidearm. Always carry a reload. Always carry a knife. Always carry a flashlight in my pocket.

Jim would fold you up like a cheap shirt, and not even spill his drink.

If I leave home I'm carrying, even if it's just for a walk in my relatively safe neighborhood. It's best to be prepared.

As long as I dont have to pass through a scanner, I am carrying. I do all me banking via drive up window. Yes, I carry while in church. Carrying concealed means you can not see mine, so you have no idea if I am or not.

I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! 😉

Being relieved of $150 while armed?
So what? Beats being shot at and unable to fight back!

seems like now more than ever is the time to do it, but I wasn't alive in '63

at the same time, I'm not at a point where I think about grabbing a gun before I go get a gallon of milk

I worry about my kids, fortunately they don't go downtown ever and their world is pretty much our little burg. Son is currently dating a country girl. First night he met the parents they asked him he was saved, like Trump and owned guns.

Don't know your exact location?

We live in a county with very little violent crime, and a surprising amount of murders. Both, like most places, are easily avoided by choices in activities and "friends".

However, 3 interstates, and two US Highways go through here.
Along with a main route to Johnstown. 100 miles to Pittsburgh,
130 to DC an Baltimore, 200 to Philthydelphia.

There is no way to predict who, or what, I might meet up with.
For one guy, 3 years ago, it was Milwaukee based BLM Walkers.
On the side of a mountain, at midnight.

Schools seem safe.
Churches seem safe,
Bowling alleys, Synagogues, grocery stores, restaurants......

One thing ever victim in the above places had in common, they never thought there would be a shooting HERE.

Everywhere, except the couple of times, I had to go into a courtroom. I have 2 within reach while I sleep.

You should also discuss how to dress appropriately when armed.
