I’m going with one of these.
https://www.scheels.com/p/stanley-48oz-french-press/11330-10-02888-007.html

It seems like the coffeemaker’s only last about three years account of hard water. We have a rapid water boiler or tea kettle anyway. Sometimes I use k-cups, and I am waiting on the reusable ones from Amazon also.

Maybe I’ll use my coffee grinder more to get the best grind for the press.

Welcome aboard.

My engineer little brother and my son have them. They do make a good cup of coffee. Simple enough to use to.

Use a small one cup press called Aeropress. Portable, easy and makes a custom cup with minimum fuss.

You may want to look into pour over for a fool proof not expensive option. I find french too muddy. Just my opinion.

My choice is a Technivorm Moccamaster. Expensive but it just plain works. Lasts forever and brews a great pot.

I still use a coffee maker for the morning batch, but also picked up a small 9-cup percolator not long ago for use in the evening and outside on my rocket stove. You can taste the difference for certain. Requires a coarser grind.

Yep got some fresh beans, grinder, and press at the office. Every morning I warm one up.

Freshly ground beans make a big difference.

Good rich and highly caffeinated brew.
