And they never appeared. This week a good cold front came in, lots of snow, cold temperatures, north winds. Perfect for bringing northern ducks down, right?

Nope. No difference. No new birds.

I don't know if the ducks we found were new birds, or just motivated feeders. Wife, daughter and I pounded heck out of Mallards for two days after that first snow. Could have done more but we had to leave to return home for work. 13 degrees one morning but the shooting was phenomenal. We made some memories.
