I am planning on purchasing another scope and was looking at the Sightron SIII 6-24x50/side focus. I already have a Sightron SII 6.5-20x50SF and really like it but was wondering if the optics/glass is an improvement in the SIII series or would the main difference just be the increased magnification and speed focus on the eye piece? Never got to run it against another Sightron.But I do like it.

The Sightron does have better glass than my leupold LRT.No surprise there.

Sightron.For the money.A much better deal than lupie.

I bought one off Ebay recently for a let less than I found it anywhere on the 'net. Initial impression is it's nice - clear, adjustments work smoothly, etc. BUT I have not had it to the range to be able to give a complete evaluation.

I have an SII 6-24X42 on another rifle - will compare them side-by-side once time allows.

I have a 3.5-10x SIII, fantastic scope. I bought it when they were being clearanced on EBAY, should have bought all I could afford.

I have 4 Sightron SII scopes, including one SIISS. The SIII is clearer and brighter than any of the SII's.
