Again. (last year)

A number of years ago ... I did a suicide run after work in Anc to go kill some reds with my flyrod on the Kenai River, caught my limit early and ran into some friends at Taco Bell in 'Dotner who were also limited out & going to Charlies for a beer .... or ten !

That night there was this short lil hot blonde with an absolutely perfect pair upstairs and downstairs were these two perfect little teacups smushed together as she cavorted on the stage, (curtains matched the drapes btw ) parading around in hip waders, a fly fishermans hat loaded with flies, a fly rod and nothing else ... That was a HOT night at Charlies

That’s about 10 gazillion times prettier than anything I’ve ever seen at GoodTime Charlie’s. 👍🏼

I almost did the same thing one mid day afternoon waiting for the float plane. I had an .. epifery and decided to catch the plane and forget about it all…😂

I ran into that same gal later in the years at that juice bar PJ's in Anc , the flyfisher gal act was gone of course, but the absolute perfect beauty was intact .... Turns out she was a local who lost her way for a bit .... we are still friends and she is still gorgeous

The chick they’d flew up and then kicked out after freaking out on my buddy is probably still making her father proud. I never liked strip clubs but I’ve not been raised in the attic either so while my experience isn’t nearly as vast as others it’s not nothing either and I swear to God I’ve never seen a “special talent” girl get thrown out of the place that paid her trip and then comped us our drinks for the day….it was otherworldly. 😉. My same buddy and I just had a long conversation about New Orleans jails and drunken dudes on a “boys weekend” and how to move forward to protect his son in law from himself. We laughed our asses off about the next generation, although far more intelligent, are making the same great choices as their forefathers. His son in law is from Iceland and has a PhD in aeronautical engineering from the University of Michigan in association with the UW and is a great man….that got drunker than even a Viking should, I’ve been there a few times myself.

Suicide "meat" runs were a requirement if you were employed in the construction industry & wanted to load up on fish or meat in AK without losing any of that Bacon pay... Currently "Bacon pay" is $74+ droolers an hour !

I know what you meant. I did a lot of suicide runs when we were first married… I’d take off after work, roll into Neah Bay at 2am sleep until 4:30 fish, clean and re-rig, drink, sleep, fish…over and over. One night about 3:45am we’re driving home and I swear I saw a couple of chickens in the road….my buddy took over driving.

My guess is that there were a lot of fisherman having to clean their catch after a visit to Charlie's, having caught more than anticipated.

I build my first place (now a rental unit) a short walk from Charlies, in the winter, unemployed, one vehicle which my wife used to reach her employment.

I'd run a hot buttered rum tab starting at dark (no power yet) until she picked me up, usually by 6 or 7, and before the strippers really got going. This was the winter "staff" - so you can imagine.....

The barkeep (when it wasn't Charlie) was the only one worth looking at.

Come to think if it, Charlie had most of them beat.

He did have a sweet deal the last 10 years or more that the place ran. The state bought him out up front for booku bucks for rightaway to widen the highway (maybe starting soon, maybe not). Then rented it back to him for $1/year until they were ready to demolish, not long ago.

When we moved out. of that place to where we are now, Charlie had a place about a mile down the road, where some of the girls sometimes stayed. Actually, one summer, we rented the rental unit out to 3 of his girls, an I gotta say, the summer staff was a very much improvement over the winter ones!

Hard to beat the stripper missing every other tooth, top and bottom so they meshed together... stage name "Sprocket!"

Coming by GTC just after 1 pm today on way back from landfill, I saw several good looking gals hanging around Charlies. Also a couple of Trannies, maybe- anyway, no headgear. They all had on caribou hide outerwear.

Had half a dozen cars pulled over.

My cell phone was home on kitchen counter of course...
