Wondering on the conservative value of this 4 barrel gun? It’s a Vierling double 12 with a 16 gauge below and a 22 of some type on top. It seems a basic grade and looks to have a bunch of after market studding in the stock and recoil pad. Any insights would be helpful. Just wondering what would be a very marketable price if I purchase and later want to sell if I get tired of it.
16 under 2 12s on a gun built for versatility? Unless it's rifled, gotta wonder "Why"¿
I agree. The muzzle looks a lot smaller than the 12 ga muzzles too. Is it certain that it is actually 16 ga, and not perhaps some large bore BP rifle calibre? There were a number of cartridges in the 10-12 mm range in the late 19th century Europe. Austria's 11.4 Werndl for example.
