Are the 2 1/2-8X32 handgun scopes built to the same standard as the rifle scopes. Like just a tough or are they made tougher to handle more severe recoil?

I only have a single 4X Leupold Handgun Scope. From owning it for years, my best guess is that it is built just as tough as a Rifle Scope. Not sure about being built any tougher though. If I were betting, I would bet on pretty much the same construction.

Have used them on 44, 454, and 375 JDJ with no issues
