Downright disrespectful...... I've been playing peekaboo with 3 different sounders on this spot near the house for the last couple of weeks and now they're rubbing it in my face with the "Double Baconator" pose. None are displaying any consistent timing patterns. Might be time to put down the rifle and set that box trap.

Forgive my ignorance but what is a "sounder" in relationship to them pigs?

A sounder is just a cluster or family unit that travels together. Not uncommon to have a couple of different groups running in the same general area, competing for food. Those are fairly little guys in that bunch. Another group has a big alpha sow as the lead pig. I'd like to take her in to meet the sausage grinder.

Nah, they tripped my cell camera about 400yds away so I was walking in the back way to try to sneak up on them. In the meantime, they had moved down to the spot where I was planning to step out on the shooting lane, so they busted me when I was crunching leaves. Too dry for much of a sneak that day, but it made for an amusing couple of pics.

Wish we had those in my area for something to target. I wonder if the wolves would murk them? The wolves would no doubt kill most of the little ones. Wolves will go right in a bear den and pull out a cub.

RIO7-
That's purty big for a boar. Mostly barr's get quite a bit bigger than boar's where I live. Most folks will say that hog is a 300 pounder when they may weigh 220 maybe................Good teeth
