I haven’t followed the story but I’m surprised that he was convinced this soon. Given his money and the high profile case I expected it to drag out a lot longer.

There are Federal sentencing guidelines, there will be be certain arbitrary factors based on the severity of the crime to determine if the recommended sentence is is in the high or low category (if I remember correctly). The AUSA will come up with a recommended sentence and the defense will come up with a lower one and argue it’s merits. I hope SBF likes prison food and dick!

If someone were to give me something stolen surely I would have to give it to the rightful owner (the investors) if he surfaced and could prove it was stolen.

Come to think of it, this money may have financed the stolen election.

Through Nishad Singh SBF gave $500,000 to the Oregon Democrat party. The party was fined $15,000 for not appropriately listing who made the donation. I don't think the $500,000 has been given back, but don't know for certain.
