Coming off the great wall of China there's something similar . Car rides in half a round tube and you control the speed. Was a SF Ballet tour and the crew and dancers got crazy ,we were ramming each other much to the dismay of those overseeing the operation of the ride.

Throw some sporting clays into the mix. Then you'd really have something.

I've done that on a couple of ski mountains in the summer.

It IS fun! Until... you come up on some woman who got scared and rode the brake all the way down...

They have a hand brake, but if you use it, you need to consider other entertainment.

Evnin, they had something like that in Collingwood awhile back. That looks pretty safe. The one up here, Ontario Canada was just a trough & you were in control of the sled by a hand brake. Toooo many people not coordinated & can't judge speed!!! Plus they let younger kids on it. Kid goes, part way down gets scared & slows way down, operator of ride figures their way ahead & lets next rider go.......... bad deal all around. Also some would go toooo fast & would fly off the track & get pretty skinned up, or worse. Pretty bad design. I'm not sure but I think they got sued more than once & of coarse demalished it. GWPGUY. 🐾👣🇨🇦

BTDT. I vacationed in Oberammergau back in 2006 or 2007 and rode a number of similar rides.

Yeah - those cheesegraters they had around some of the corners could probably do a number on a guy.

That slow person he caught up to - there's one like that everywhere. They usually have a Handicap license plate.

We did that on an alpine slide in Queenstown, New Zealand about 30 years ago. Much different and much simpler - a metal 1/2 tube and a simple disc like thing to sit on. No brake and if you went off you ended up in the rocks. Obviously, New Zealand hadn't been invaded by personal injury attorneys. My wife and I made a couple of runs and then decided that weight would increase speed and doubled up on the next run. It was great fun until the speed exceeded the carrying capacity of the tube and we ended up flying into the rocks. There was a bit of blood lost, but what a great ride - until it ended.

Yahooooooo! Some of those turns need more banking. 😊 I don’t think the netting would do much for you if that sucker decided to leave the track.

At least, if you landed on top of that mountain -

It would be all downhill all the way home.

We rode one like this in Colorado. They have brakes, you just try not to use them. He started braking when he started coming close to the car ahead of him. This one seemed a lot longer than the one we rode in Colorado.

I watched a video of somebody slamming into a slower rider. Repeatedly. The guy was a dick and gave her whiplash.

I think they were getting pulled up the hill. There was a connection to the ski lift cable and most don't seem to be pedaling.

My thoughts exactly! It was way longer than I expected and looks fun as hell. That is a lot of stainless (?) steel it appears. A lot.

And I thought my old ZHP was fun...

There’s a similar one in Jackson, WY. We had a go at it last summer. It’s a good time!
