The only thing the Patriots are in control of is the first pick in next year's NFL draft.

She already pled guilty along with a couple others and they testified against SBF.

got it, I didn't realize she took the stand a long time ago.

Was reading, he gave her $20m in bonuses the first year, then paid her $6m each year after

while he paid himself $2.2B, his second in charge $580m and his CFO $287M

having access to that kind of money is amazing

Worse case scenario, he's sentenced to a couple of years in Jewish Federal Prison. Yes, there is a Federal Prison just for Jews. It's more like a country club than a prison. I believe it's called Otisville Federal Prison.

Part of the disparity in America today. She "ONLY" received a $20MM bonus ... equal to what the average working stiff would have to work 400 years to earn. My field is barren...

As for SFB, color me skeptical. Even tho it is Federal, I would not be surprised to see reduced sentencing, suspended sentencing, Club Fed Minimum Security, etc. Either that, or, he crossed the wrong folks and he will get Epstein'ed shortly after lock up.

Experts Speculate on Possible Length of Prison Sentence

Forbes reports:

Sam Bankman-Fried Faces 110-Year Max Sentence After FTX Trial—Here’s How Long Experts Think He’ll Be Behind Bars

.......lawyers told Forbes he may face a decades-long sentence, unlike other white-collar defendants.

Most white-collar criminals whose maximum sentences could take up the rest of their lives end up only facing a small fraction of the maximum, with judges often basing their sentencing decisions on similar cases, Mitchell Epner, a former federal prosecutor and member of the law firm Rottenberg Lipman Rich, told Forbes.

However, Epner said Lewis Kaplan, the Manhattan-based federal judge who presided over Bankman-Fried’s case, may decide to break the trend and give Bankman-Fried a majority of the 110-year maximum permitted by federal law when he’s sentenced next year—citing Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, who received a 150-year sentence in 2009.

Both Epner and Vermont Law School professor Jared Carter told Forbes they think Bankman-Fried will likely be sentenced to multiple decades in prison, with Epner adding he would be surprised if Bankman-Fried receives a sentence below 25 years.

Prosecutor U.S. attorney Damian Williams presser

TGP

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan set Bankman-Fried's sentencing for March 28, 2024. Which seems a long time. Guessing he is allowing time for conviction appeal(s)?

He doesn’t have to wait until his last day in office, he can pardon anyone of their federal crime anytime he wants while he’s in office….including his son, brother and entire family. Treason is one federal crime that cannot be pardoned but to my knowledge that’s the only limitation on federal pardons. I fully expect him to pardon himself and everyone else in his corrupt, contemptuous and criminal family!

The reason i asked was, as i understand it, Friedman pretty much recycled most of his company's money into democratic campaigning

Biddn would send tax $$ to, say, Ukraine, which invested it with Friedman, who donated it to Democrats.......

He will be sentenced to 18 years. He will be sent to a "country club" prison, a Federal Prison Camp.
His only hope is a Biden pardon.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s biggest fear in jail revealed by author

Last month, Michael Lewis – the author of "Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of New Tycoon" – appeared on CBS’ "60 Minutes" Sunday to discuss his book and Bankman-Fried’s state of mind ahead of the trial. CBS’ Jon Wertheim asked Lewis, who met with Bankman-Fried over 100 times in a two-year period for the book, what the 31-year-old fears the most about prison.

"Not having the internet," Lewis said. "Now that sounds crazy, but I do think that if he had the internet, he could survive jail forever. Without having a constant stream of information to react to – I think he may go mad."

"If you gave Sam Bankman-Fried a choice (this is quite serious) of living in a $39 million penthouse in the Bahamas without the internet, or the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn with the internet, there’s no question in my mind he’d take the jail," Lewis added.

FOX Business

I'm guessing that would apply to millions of people. Millions here just on CF! LoL

Quite true.
My brother's 16 year old grandson spends 17 hours a day in the Iphone. He won't play soccer, won't ride a bicycle, won't take karate lessons. He lives his life glued to the Iphone.

"And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs, that voices never shared, no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made..."
