So I have long listed over a NULA rifle in a model 20. Does anyone know the receiver specs? As in the diameter of the action etc. Does anyone make something close. I know I will never be able to afford one now. May be able to build something similar.

What chambering do you desire and which projectile do you intend to use?

Forbes 20b or fieldcraft both less costly alternatives; I’d personally try to find a fieldcraft. Last 6.5 that sold on gunbroker went for 2k (headed to Texas😜).

Forbes 20b rifles are copies of them and typically fly under the radar and can be often found for good deals.

Just posted this on another thread. It's from the old NULA web site. Answers some of your questions. As far as mag box OAL, I only have experience with a Colt Light Rifle which was built to NULA 28 specs at 3.34"

If you built on the Creed family of cases a Kimber 84M is a small diameter action similar to the ULA/NULA, Forbes/Fieldcraft.

The reason I say Creed case is because the 84 only has a 2.8” mag-box. All of the ULA variants have a 3” box more suited to long bullets in the 308 family of cases.

so they are just a tad smaller in diameter than a Remington 700 action. I have a kimber 84m classic in .308win. just not wild about it with the safety on top of the bolt shroud/winchester safety. Thank you for all of the replies.
