Western became Accurate Arms, which is now owned by Hodgdon.
AA 5744 has been relabled to Accurate 5744 and sold under that name by Hodgdon.
Yes, it's the same but as with any component, lot numbers and age make a difference. Work up from a safe starting load. I just looked for data per your other thread about reduced 270 loads. It's not listed online by Hodgdon but the techs will give you the formula to determine a starting load. If you already have data then you can double check with the formula to be sure.
