Makes you wonder if the H4895 is close to what Remington was using in their reduced recoil loads.
A buddy had some Remington reduced recoil factory loads in 125 grain for his '06 when his boy started shooting. A mid range 243 load with 85 grain bullets seemed to have more felt recoil than his '06. I believe it was IMR4198. Dissected a few..... they used 36 grains of IMR 4198. for youth loads, I use 30 grains of 4198, from 243 thru 30/06 ... 12 year old boy scouts and about any woman adult can shoot it comfortably in any caliber from 243 to 30/06 and every caliber in between with that charge.. at its worse its about the MV and recoil of the good old 30/30.
