Saw this on GB. I thought that all of the Swedish Mausers with Husqvarna actions were assembled in the 1938 pattern.

Real or put together from parts?

Husqvarna produced only M38 and M96 rifles. Their M96's being more rare. I believe all M94 carbines were made by either Waffenfabrik Mauser of Obendorf, or Carl Gustaf. I would want to know if all the numbers matched on the one you are asking about.

The receiver has SN 109167.

The bolt shroud, safety wing, and cocking piece are all numbered 167, but the nose cap has number 309.

Maybe an arsenal rebuild with a replacement action? But the 309 nose cap would be right wouldn't it? All of the 1894 Sweds that I've had that hadn't already been sporterized when I got them were Interarms G33/50s.

I would think the 309 number could be correct for a M94. The Husqvarna 1943 action still makes me wonder. From what I have read the M94 production stopped in 1918. A few rare occasion M94's were made after that I guess. As for arsenal remade M94's, I really don't know much about that. I believe some M94's made it to Finland for the Winter War. They were possibly tended to by the Sako arsenal. I am better versed on Scandinavian hunting arms. The Dana Jones book on the Swedish Mauser is a good one to reference.

I'm also a fan of the commercial Husqvarnas with Mannlicher style stocks, as I think that they have better balance than most other cataloged production rifles with Mannlicher style stocks. I have a couple of Husqvarnas and 17 that were imported by S&W, 8 with the HVA actions and 9 with the newer push feed actions,
