Thanks. Brand new low ... 178.2 this morning. Outstanding!! What is your ultimate goal? What are your plans to maintain your goal weight long term? I am interested in what Pal has to say as well but I wanted to comment on this part. I've basically maintained my initial 180 lb weight loss for 3.5 years. It took me 1.5 years to get down to my target weight. I did gain maybe 40 lbs. but that was a special case where I thought I was dying of cancer and drank too much and ate things I knew weren't good for me. I've got back to my target weight since February of this year. What I wanted to say though since I got the back story in, is that it's not all that hard to get to a healthy weight and stay that way as long as you continue to do as Pal has done. IM fasting combined with healthy low carb food becomes not so much a diet as a new way to look at eating. Too many times a "diet is something you suffer through to reach a goal and then throw away because it's not sustainable long term. All I do is eat ALL my calories within a 6–8-hour window every day and I choose healthy meats, cheese, eggs, and low carb vegetables, fruit and berries and nuts. I eat as much as I want within that window and that's it. The great thing about this "Diet" is that I am not hungry all the time and I have plenty of energy all day.

Thanks. Brand new low ... 178.2 this morning. Outstanding!! What is your ultimate goal? What are your plans to maintain your goal weight long term? My ultimate goal is to avoid death as long as possible, and to be as pain-free as possible while doing so. As far as a weight goal, I have only a vague initial target of around 165 lbs. I'll let my body decide what feels right. To maintain the final weight I plan to modify the very routine that I'm currently on, likely just bump up the carbs a little at a time, but I have no clear cut plan. Additionally I have in mind to begin rowing, for exercise. One thing I'd like to mention: I have found that the "poke bowl", sold in many supermarket deli sections around here, is perhaps the most satisfying of quick lunches I've tried. I have on several occasions been able to make that lunch my only meal of the day and not go to bed hungry. It mostly consists of raw salmon and tuna, diced, on top of a bed of rice, which I don't eat. Also included are a small portion of crab salad and a couple of greens I can't identify. I hesitate to praise it too highly lest you guys think I'm full of crap. But it is so fulfilling and full of energy that I will risk my reputation by claiming it to be head and shoulders above common lunches. Raw fish is no doubt not everyone's cup of tea. But it is almost magic on this diet.
