Personally I'd do a euro mount on him, but then again I'm very picky about what I get shoulder mounted. If I figured I'd need a pose to make him look bigger then he's not shoulder mount worthy, even if he's cool. The cool ones are the ones people want to hold and look at different angles anyway, euro is perfect for that. Just my .02. He's pretty neat and unique for sure! Along with the extra beam, he has really good mass, and the cape coloration all makes for a great package that I couldn't get if I did a euro. Thanks!

Here's a Columbian Blacktail of ours that has some similar extras. I had him mounted sneak, straight on with the ears back some... A lot depends on WHERE your going to display the head - that'll tell you a lot about how you want it to look or be viewed. This view is much how he looked during the shooting. He's displayed so that it's viewed from the side with the extras as you enter the room...

This is a B&C Col Blacktail, a 5x7 counting the eye guards. He's mounted on a hook that allows me to reposition the head from left to right and back at will. It's generally turned so that the side with the most points is easily seen. You have a lot of options for your mount.. Great whitetail, by the way!!

Hell of a buck nice mountđź‘Ťđź‘Ť Thanks! Man, what a pretty buck - the pose and taxi did him justice. Thanks! Yeah I originally was going to have him turned the other way, but after talking to several experienced taxidermists, along with my own, I went with a right hand turn, and it was completely the right choice! My taxidermist is phenomenal as well!

Cool looking deer! Semi-sneak w/left turn, ears back (and offset) should do it proud. Scott, good choice! Just got notice mine is finished.
