These rv’s get chalky after a while in the weather. Rubbing alcohol will even start to remove the finish.

Had a little issue with the RV on our recent trip. One of the escape windows broke the top "hinge" and I had to duct tape it in place for the trip home.
Need to fix it. It's a fiberglass skin on the RV so I can't use acetone to clean off the tape residue. Goo gone doesn't do anything....
Any ideas on what to use to remove the goo? Dupont 3812S Enamel reducer or its equivalent.....Will remove grease, oil, wax, silicone, road tar, adhesives etc. and NOT harm the finish.

Why would anyone ever remove duct tape? Well, since we were out camping we had no means to repair the window. Taping it was the only way to keep it in place while we traveled back home. It's a long drive from So. Carolina to Northern Illinois. I am now taking it apart to fix the issue, which require removing the tape...

Here's your answer ^^^ Goo Gone is citrus-based and made to remove tape residue. I like to use it with a coarse terry cloth rag (like the Home Depot rags) Do not confuse with Goof Off !

When handy, I have always used a little starting ether on a rough texture shop rag. Cleans most contact adhesives PDQ.

Where do you get naptha?
WD40 is really slow but it does come off. Will take a while. Maybe in the wood prep aisle lowes, home depot or Ernie Ferglar’s Hardware ?? also known as "white gas" or coleman fuel
...Actually Sycamore, you are sort of right....

Tannerite is my go to for stuff like this...
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
