They are having so much trouble making their enlistment quotas that they are willing to lower their standards and start reaching out to young, hetrosexual, white males. But only those who identify as that.
When I think about it enough, I reach the conclusion that I want the Democrats to keep control in 2024.

I read somewhere yesterday the Army is raising the maximum age for enlistment to 42. A guy could conceivably be a grandfather and be off to Basic Training.

They did that at the height of the war in iraq. We saw few of them like a school teacher in our unit joined to serve their country. They soon realized they made a really bad mistake. You are 40 join the army and you realize how ph ucked up the Army is. Anyhow the Army knew majority of wouldn’t join to be Infantry. Majority were one and done on their enlistments. You have to retire from the army at the age of 62, so in theory a 42yr old can do 20 yrs and get a get their blended retirement and collect social security check. There is no longer a defined retirement it’s called a blended retirement.

The Air Force is now allowing people up to 42 to enlist as well. I remember when 28 for AD and 35 for Guard/Reserves was the age limit to enlist. They be hurting! My ass retired at 42!
