For a brown bear hunt next year. I had a load developed with RL-15 and the same bullet for a prior SE Alaska hunt but "dumbly" put the box of my handloads in my carry on. Ammo confiscated along with $250... Looking for something different with Big Game for the FOI. I have been all over the websites but would like to learn from those with personal experience with this specific combo.

This may not be an answer for your problem Ed, but I thought I might still help you out some.

I have a box of those Barnes X bullets in 270 grain, 375 bore, that I was given by someone years ago..
and I'll never use them because I don't have a 375, and altho I always wanted one.. I realized I'd never really need it..

I took my allowed ONE deer a year under Oregon Law... and I took that with a 100 grain Hornady SP, out of a 6 x 45 with 24 grains of H 322, it was a 180 pounder forked horn buck. Shot to the heart and it was down for the count instantly.

a Far cry from a 375 H & H. So I'm never going to use the bullets, so give me an address to ship it to, and they're yours my friend!

I have used the 375 and 270 TSX on many critters and have never lost an animal or found a bullet. I have not killed a grizzly or anything African.

Not sure what FOI means, but I've used both RL-15 and Big Game for that combo. I slightly prefer RL-15, but would be happy with either.

That's the bullet I used in Africa, lots of animals including Cape Buffalo.
2800 FPS and killed extremely well. Out of a 375HH.

I used to use RL-15 in my CZ 550 .375 H&H but switched to RL 15.5 with 270 grain TTSX for my last African hunt. I get a bit more velocity with RL 15.5, and equally good accuracy, plus it's temperature resistant which is why I made the switch. I would recommend it if you can find some.
