I'm too young to have really see much of Sam Kinisons stuff but the tidbits I've seen, he's always screaming. Shut up dude.
Yep, annoying as hell.
I’ll take Sam over Robin Williams.
I didn’t necessarily dislike Williams, but his manic bullschit got old quick.
Norm Macdonald was another overrated comic. He was pushed as a misunderstood genius, but most of his jokes were simply not funny. Master of the deadpan for sure though.
“Life is life and fun is fun, but it's all so quiet when the goldfish die.”
Wife loves him. He actually hosted SNL which was a mismatch because he is squeaky clean. His skit as Washington at Valley Forge explaining what they were fighting for was genius.

Norm MacDonald is the greatest standup comic to live.

The OP asked about women comics, Kathleen Madigan is consistently good.
Bill Burr is my favorite maniac.
Brian Regan is good.
Craig Shoemaker is a funny guy and had a funny routine about "Was Mayberry High?" but I haven't seen much from him in a couple years.

Anyone mention Mitch Hedberg? Sort of in the vein of Jack Hanby deep thoughts. Funny as hell.

the ones that made it big but I never cared for all that much, Robin Williams was so so he had his moments I guess. but I never found anything from Steve Martin that I cared for .
All the female comics I've listened to are gross, over the top with pûssy jokes, etc.
I appreciate blue comedy, but most of these whores that's all they know. They're not even funny.
Nikki Glaser a great example of this.
That said I like Kathleen Madigan, Brad Upton, Jeff Allen, and Brian Regan.
Whitney Cummings is probably the worst. Not to mention the things she talks about she's probably experienced. I think she's had more trains ran on her than Union Pacific.
I liked the Charlie Murphy and Dave Chappelle skits.... Playing basketball against Prince was classic.
