Excellent! My boy is giving it a go in Washington. Tough trying to figure it out on his own.

Looks like you are having an outstanding fall between this bull and the blacktail.

Congratulations. That's a beautiful bull. I hunt them in the tree farm jungles and I'm jealous of of the country you get to hunt.

Looks like that Elk showed you a good time. I’m proud for you.

Looks like that Elk showed you a good time. I’m proud for you. Reloder28 - it was a good day, all said. I’ll be 71 in a couple of months and I try real hard not to kill elk in stupid places, and this one was way better than most. I was able to get close with my quad and drag him down to a road. Then a pal answered my call and loaded him whole in my utility trailer with his well drilling equipment. Next stop was the ranch homesite and a forklift to do the heavy lifting...... yeah, a good time 🥃

Outstanding! Great looking bull - and I like the way you handled the extraction. Let the machines do the heavy work!

Shoot, how big a quad to drag a bull like that?.mb Yamaha Grizzly 700 - ran the winch cable around its head and backed down the hill. This rig has been a huge help to me over the years.

Good job blacktail. Must be southwest Oregon? Nice bull. As we know, bulls in some Oregon units are hard to get. I consider anything a trophy. I wish I could have hunted this year!!!
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Looks like a healthy bull. How are the steaks? I honestly don't know.... I still have a lot of elk meat in the freezer from last years cow elk - so, I gave this bull to family. I haven't gotten any feedback yet.
