Stainless Steel TC Encore 357 Maximum. The barrel began its life as a 22" 357 Maximum from Match Grade Machine (MGM). The barrel has been shortened to 17-29/32" (just a tad over 17-7/8"), 11 degree crown, and "ghost" lettering that reads "Mighty Max" along with stars and stripes. The barrel comes with a steel Warne style scope base and Bellum heavy locking lug spring. The crown and ghost lettering was done by J.R. Shultz at Shultz Precision Rifles.

The laser etching MGM Logo and 357 Remington Maximum is still visible after bead blasting, but is very faint. The barrel does have handling scuffs/rubs that are visible in the correct light. The most noticeable scuff is circled in the last picture.

The barrel shoots very well with hand loads, but also preforms well with ammo from Reeds. This barrel has harvested several whitetails over the years, but I now have a MAX barrel for the Contender and this one is collecting dust in the safe.
