Last week, night before opening day we had a storm. Lightning struck a large oak and a large limb fell on my blind. Demolished it...irrepairable. I could use anything in decent shape 4x4. 4x5 or 4x6 w/floor. Must be a ground blind. Don't want to drive too far but willing to trade other stuff or buy outright. If anyone can help me...please let me know. I'm in Gatesville off of hwy 84. Thanks, powdr

Please...no PORTABLE BLINDS.

How about you make one?

6 sheets of plywood = $200
10 2x6's = $100
nails or screws = $25

Should take a guy about 2 hours to make a 4x4 or 4x5 blind with a roof.

If you have seen my carpentry skills you'd laugh at my homemade stand. I dare not show a pic of it on here or I would be shunned.

A friend of mine had his privacy fence rebuilt. He used some of the old panels for a blind. Turned out pretty good. Not fancy but efficient.

Go to Academy and buy a pop up blind. They actually work pretty well. Helps if you “brush em in” with some leafy tree limbs. Just don’t leave them out after the seasons over. The N TX wind and sun are pretty hard on them.

I actually prefer tripods like the 14 or 16 foot models, if your able to climb up in one. Hope you get something soon. The rut should kick off in a week or so.
