We used to paintball pretty often.
Don't hear about it much anymore.
Had a Tippman 98.
I am MAGA.

Had a Tippman 98. Same here. Same gun. There was a local place that had 10acres with a rustic cabin in the very middle. Would play capture/defend the cabin. I think they were 15min games. About a dozen of us that would do that annually from mid-90’s to early 2000’s.
Fear the crabcat.

You are approaching this problem incorrectly, in my opinion.

Had a coworker several years ago that was into paintball big time. He would take vacation to go to "war games" he also had about a grand invested in his equipment.

Totally died off around here, too. There used to be a couple pay fields and a gaggle of paintball shops around, but they all petered out about 10 years ago.
A bunch of us used to play woodsball in a 15 acre plot a few miles from town back in the 2000s, but then we got old, and the land changed hands and has a big azz house in the middle of it now.
I ran a Spyder TL... great gun except for the fact that it loved to rattle pins out of itself.

We've been thinking about getting a paintball gun to help deter seals when we are trolling for salmon.

Put the paint balls in the freezer. Then use them on the fido.

Took a few to a red hot chili peppers show. Tuck em behind the material flap in a ball cap. Roll em around in your fingers till they get soft and fling em from about 600 people back. LOL

A Wrist Rocket and a bag of marbles will train the dog and you'll have a toy from your youth!
It's cheaper too.

I did the prototyping and developmental engineering on the Tippman paintball guns back in the late 1980's.
