I check this a couple times a day. You never know what will show up. Giraffes, oryx, warthogs, antelope, hyenas, zebras, you name it! You also see how the animals tolerate and interact with each other at the water. [video:youtube] https://www.youtube.com/live/ydYDqZQpim8?si=_6LOJVaUqThAdv5_[/video]

Cool link.
I looked that location up. Seems to be about 4.5-5 hrs. drive SW of Windhoek.
Watched the cam for a bit. Granted it is on the edge between the Nakluft NP (serious desert) and the normal Kalahari desert. As I've mentioned before, the western side of Namibia (western side of the Kalahari) has been suffering a pretty prolonged, multi-year drought. While you can see some short grass stems in the distance, you can see the condition of the gemsbok are showing a good bit of stress. You can see a lot of ribs and hip bones. The rainy season should be starting in a few weeks. I pray the entire country gets slow and prolonged rain. It's desperately needed.

I check the link occasionally. Mostly to read and laugh at the unbelievable ignorance of the bulk of the comments. Some are even by an individual who is a moderator. A few minutes ago, a small group of five zebra MARES came in. The "alpha" or "queen" mare was dominating the waterhole from the others. Nobody could believe "he" was being so mean. The moderator told everyone it was a "bachelor herd". Most posters can't even tell the difference between male and female oryx. The moderator tells them to look for the "little tuft of hair on the belly" instead of calling it correctly the "penal sheath".

That was cool. Two Orrx just locked up for a good scuffle. Following that some warthogs came in. This Oryx with a messed up horn ran them off.

The Oryx look very healthy, what do they eat? Looks pretty desolate and devoid of vegetation.
