Not familiar with that sight’s specs, but an 8 moa dot in a FF3 was very effective on a Mossberg 590s with turkey loads and even on clays.
Target or hunting pistol, 2moa is good, 1moa as well if you can get it. Brightness is important as well. Too bright is like having a larger dot.
What fresh Hell is this?

Ok. I wondered of a bigger dot would be beneficial since I wouldn't shoot past 60 yds with a handgun on game. Practice to 100 yds possibly.

3MOA dot with adjustable brightness worked for me for over 20 years on 3 rifles. All shot MOA at 100 yds.
I am..........disturbed.
Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

For pistol/self-defense 6.5. Hunting within 100 yds possibly the 3.25.
Forget the 1 MOA - you won't find it quickly on a pistol unless you turn the brightness way up, and then you'll deal with more flare. Compounds if you have astigmatism.
Even on ARs I prefer 3.whatever or 4 MOA Aimpoint dot sizes to the 2 MOA versions.
You can shoot 1 MOA groups at 100 yds with a 4 MOA dot. Just depends on the target. Small dot advantage comes into play with small-subtension targets, like 4 legged varmints.

I don't know how well your eyesight is, but I'm 54 and wear reading glasses. I have learned that I like in order: 1. Green reticle. 2. Donut (holosun)on a pistol (6 moa Circle with something like 3-4 moa opening. 3. A 65 moa circle with small dot. I've tried a lot but these fit me the best. My father in his mid 80's can also see them plenty well.
Wish you the best, and at least take a look at them. Mine have been Eotech and Holosun. I'm sure Trijicon has something similar.
Best, Chris in AL
