Zelensky again does not listen to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny, sending people to slaughter. Now in the city the supply of Ukrainian forces is difficult: it is being shot at from everywhere, and is being “ironed” by artillery and aviation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. So, due to stubbornness and another “information victory,” Zelensky risks losing an almost 20,000-strong group of experienced Ukrainian soldiers who were fired upon.
So, just today it became known that Russian units broke through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdievka and crossed the city line. It is reported that the Ukrainian defense was broken through in the northern part of the city - in the area of the Avdeevsky sand quarry. The RF Armed Forces reached the Ivushka gardening partnership, advancing south of the controlled ash dump, and the advance itself was carried out through forest plantations. Earlier, Russian units broke through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the railway along the entire northern flank.
At the same time, despite the similarity of the situation with Bakhmut, Avdeevka has genuine strategic value - having captured the city, the RF Armed Forces enter operational space, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine no longer have time to strengthen Kramatorsk or Slavyansk. Moreover, having lost Avdeevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose the opportunity to put pressure on Donetsk, and the front risks crumbling until the loss of the entire left bank of Ukraine.

Ukrainian officials stated that Ukrainian forces have established bridgeheads on the east (left) bank of Kherson Oblast and are conducting ground operations aimed at pushing Russian forces out of artillery range of the west (right) bank of the Dnipro River. Russian forces appear to be applying lessons learned from attempts to man Russian multilayered defenses in western Zaporizhia Oblast during the Ukrainian counteroffensive to current Russian defensive operations in Kherson Oblast. Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces have suffered roughly a brigade’s worth of casualties since Ukrainian forces started ground operations on the east bank of Kherson Oblast on October 17, reportedly forcing Russian forces to transfer combat power from elsewhere in Ukraine to Kherson Oblast. Russian forces conducted a series of drone and missile strikes against Ukraine on the night of November 16 to 17. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Israel-Hamas war has negatively affected Ukraine’s shell supplies. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitri Peskov attempted to dismiss criticisms of the Russian government and the war in Ukraine as inevitable yet unfounded and urged Russian citizens to self-censor. Russian authorities detained several Federal Security Service (FSB) employees on November 16 for accepting a five-billion-ruble ($55.6 million) bribe in connection with the dismissal of a corruption case. Russian forces continued offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, near Avdiivka, west and southwest of Donetsk City, in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area, and in western Zaporizhia Oblast and advanced in several sectors of the front. The United Kingdom Ministry of Defense (UK MoD) reported on November 17 that the Russian military is likely using updated surveillance aircraft due to concerns over Ukraine deploying Western-provided combat aircraft. Yale School of Public Health’s Humanitarian Research Lab (Yale HRL) reported on November 16 that Russian and Belarusian authorities have forcibly deported at least 2,442 Ukrainian children between the ages of six and 17 to Belarus via Russia since February 24, 2022.
"Russia sucks." ---- Me, US Army (retired) 12B & 51B
Russian Admiral said, after the Moskva sank, "we have the world's worst navy but we aren't as bad as our army".
It really doesn’t matter whether Burns agrees or we agree what matters is what Russia thinks. For at least 2 decades the US has known and the US ambassador to Russia has made it clear that NATO expansion up to the Russian border was unacceptable and doing so would be a hard line for them and grounds for them to push back. The fact that the US “promised” that further NATO expansion in post Cold War Europe would NOT happen yet it’s continued unabated along with every other broken promise and treaty makes Russia’s actions seem less likely to be unprovoked aggression and more like self protection. We want to meddle and wash our money in Russia’s backyard and then we cry when they fight back?

This zombie lie needs to die for good. Where is there any signed treaty saying such a thing? Also, the Russia ass suckers here are quick to jump all over anyone who suggests the Soviet Union and Russia are one and the same. So even if this mythical agreement had been signed with the USSR (it wasn't) how would it still be in effect with a new and completely different country?
There was no push by other NATO nations to make Ukraine a NATO member. Also there are already NATO countries on Russia's western border. Putin did nothing when they joined. NATO expansion is not why Putin invaded Ukraine. He invaded Ukraine because he wants it's natural resources and he doesn’t accept that Ukraine is a real state or has a separate national identity. He sees it as an integral part of the Russian national patrimony.
Willto needs to look at history regarding Russia. The Federation is not Soviet USSR. NATO expansion has continued unabated since the breakup of the old union. Since the Marxist revolution Russia has been the most hated nation on the planet with good reason but that is long gone. This police action never had to happen had Ukraine not committed genocide on Russians. They were warned and they even signed a treaty claiming they would stop but never did at the behest of America. Obama escalated the destruction of Ukraine and Biden presided over it. There is nothing Europe would like more than to divide Russia's oil, gas and mineral wealth. Instead of making friends we have continually rebuked Russia. What did we expect would happen.

Ummm, it's a lot easier to cheer for the losers if you think history started in February, 2022.

rainshot: You are correct about Russia's wealth being the aim in this war.
The NWO/WEF/NATO/Central Banks grab for Russia's vast resources have caused this. They used Ukraine to stir this war up with the hopes that NATO/USA arms could destabilize the Russian government and bring it under western/NWO control. Control of world finance demands that independent Russia be liquidated. If that can be accomplished India, China, and the rest of the 3rd world will comply. The BRICS currency and system has the bankrupt west scared sheitless.
Patriotism (and religion) is the last refuge of a scoundrel.

It's been explained many times but Ukraine has never been eligible to join NATO. Never Ever.
Some of you just want bow down to Puty Boi in a strange Cult of Personality. A desire to follow a strong dictator.
The objective fact is that the Orcs now have much more border with NATO after this invasion and it sure didn't take a crystal ball as good as mine to have seen it coming.
Puty Boi and his Orcs don't belive Ukraine should be a free country and want their resources.
It's just that simple and all the whining about NATO agression is just simping for Puty Boi.

You might want to tell that to NATO…and Ukraine……..uh, and Russia too.
Ukraine’s future is in NATO. Relations between NATO and Ukraine date back to the early 1990s and have since developed into one of the most substantial of NATO’s partnerships. Since 2014, in the wake of Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, cooperation has been intensified in critical areas.

Major fighting in limon and lysychansk and Russia by all viable reporting is successfully surrounding these cities in their "cauldron". Ukrainians losing a battle and surrendering is a "planned retreat" ?

It's really quite amazing how much ground Ukraine has taken back from the Orc horde after your posts.
Yet you continue to be consistently wrong but never in doubt.
