Wow, that’s a badger a week for two years, with a few extra thrown in! How’d you come across so many?

Sako A1 6ppc sporter was the most accurate gun I have ever, and probably will ever own and with Norma factory ammo.

+1 on this opinion. My friend has a Tikka. I have a Sako. I also have a strong bias for any company that makes left-handed rifles so I'm a fan. Both of our rifles shoot great. I just prefer the wood, blued steel & finish of my Sako 85M Hunter LH in 30-06 over his Tikka.

I have a SAKO 75 Finnlight .30-06 and an 85 Classic in 370 SAKO and like them very much.

Bought an 85 Finnlight in .300 Win Mag and am very disappointed. Two-inch groups are the norm seldom get a group less than 1.5". I looked at the locking lugs and found that one one was normal, one barely touched the receiver and the third did not touch the receiver at all.

Sent it to the Beretta Service Center. They said they could not test fire it because their range was under construction. After seventeen months, yes 17, it was returned with a note saying that it failed accuracy testing and since they had no comparable rifle in inventory for a replacement it was returned as is.

The individuals I spoke with at Beretta were very pleasant and tried their best to help but, apparently, were powerless.

So much for Beretta standing behind their product.

I put this parts gun together in 221 Fireball with a repurposed Savage 22-250 barrel and an AI Varmint stock found on the 'net.

They have always impressed me.

Couldn't agree more.

What you get for your money from a Sako is subjective.
Overall better quality, that likely won't affect performance.

From a lover of Pre-Garcias.
(They are nicer than my Tikkas. But heavier, not more accurate. Not smoother, but better feeling.)

Sakos have brought a custom rifle experience at an affordable cost. As long as you stay away from the super deluxe or bespoke models…or the model 100. Different model runs get the respective collectors- some collect/ shoot them all and praise the virtues of that type.

I collect, shoot and hunt with the ‘A’ series rifles,
because, irrefutably, inarguably, they are the pinnacle of Sako.

I have two Sako 85’s. I believe it is the best quality you can obtain in a commercially produced rifle.

I have had 2 Sako rifles, both of them the model 75 version. Still have the 7mm-08. Sold the .280 to a close friend. Great rifles, IMO. They are accurate with nearly any ammo I have tried, either factory or handloads.

Been killing stuff with Sakos for decades. I really don't care about groups, I only care about hitting what I'm shooting at...

I will stay with my Sako for accuracy.
Great conclusion from one three shot group from each rifle with 55 year old reloads. Iron clad test if I ever heard of one.
