Since Swarovski dumped their EL in this size, I’m considering these. For you who have used both, is today’s Ultravid that much better than the Trinovid HD?

Thanks,

Jeff

The Ultravid HD Plus is leaps ahead if the Trinovid. Corvette vs Camaro. Don’t drive the corvette if you love your Camaro.

I don’t know what you consider dumping the 8X32 EL as I have the new 8X32 range and they are superb. The NL Pure are fantastic. I did try the Leica 8X32 range and they were big and slow so I sold them.

I did have the Leica 8X32 Ultra Vid+ and they were small and excellent glass, giving up nothing to the Swarovski EL, but I sold them too and went back to the 8X32 EL Swarovision, as they were easier to use with eye glasses.

Never using the Trinovid in the 8X32, I would still bet the UltraVid is the better glass, as I have had the full size 8X42 Ultra Vids, 8X32 Ultra Vid+ and 8X20 Ultra Vid and they were all superb glass. I was disappointed with the Leica Geovid HD-B binoculars as they were too big and to me the Swarovski EL range had better optics…

Been running an Ultravid HD 7x42 for a few years now. Local store has the Trinovid 8x32 marked down so I picked them up, handled them and looked through them - after using Ultravid can’t get excited about the Trinovid. I’m sure they are Ok, but not close to Ultravid to me.

Shrap, I mean they stopped making the standard EL; pre Range. You know, the affordable one 😊

I’ve never looked through an ultravid, but I have a Trinovid 8x32 and like it. However 90% of the time I use my swaro 10x32 ELs.

Thinking not likely, but thanks.

Objective covers/good neck strap/better case with the Ultravid. Brighter view with the Ultravid. Lighter weight/slimmer design with the Ultravid. I will definitely go with the Ultravid.

Stay tuned. We are working with our web builder today to post As New Open Box Leica's. We are redoing the displays here in the store and we are packing up some Leica display units which have never been out of the store. We are reducing the pricing and selling these off which gives you a great opportunity to get an as new Leica with full warranty at a reduced price

I’ll second this. I have both. Definitely worth a consideration.
