very timely for me.... I'm currently listening to the "Revolutions" Podcast, section 3, the French Revolution, its 50 episodes long. Napoleon's time appears around ep 35 or so.

I almost never watch movies... I guess I might wanna watch this movie.

My 3x's great grandfather fought Napoleon's troops in Bergen Op Zoom Netherlands in or around 1812.

I hope it is tied closely with history. I hate when Hollyweird takes poetic license and twists history to make it into some woke garbage.

I hope Schtick got a part.. He'd make a great Napoleon...

ya think his on going height deficiency, would work in his favor...

And think of his Genuine Authentic Trailer Park Gibberish, would really come in handy.
I think it would be wonderful to hear his Authentic Trailer Park Gibberish, in an attempt at French!

I think Schtick would nail it!

That’s definitely a case of someone living rent free!

As far as the flick is concerned, I’m going with my oldest this week. Looks great!

Joaquin Phoenix and Ridley Scott work together again. A few nights ago we watched Gladiator. A few months ago the bio-drama about Johnny Cash with J. Phoenix. GREAT.

I’ve been looking forward to it for months. Made the mistake of reading ahead a little.

Apparently, the theatrical release is 2-1/2 hours. Fine, I like a long epic. But, apparently there will be a directors cut coming out (not in theatres) that will run FOUR hours.

The disappointing thing is, Kingdom of Heaven (another Ridley Scott movie) was great. But the directors cut (on Amazon) was incredible.

Wish they’d just give you a couple of pee breaks during the film and go with the directors cut from the get-go.

But, yeah, I’ll be going to see it this week. And the directors cut on TV whenever it comes out.

I'm afraid I am going to have to temporarily suspend my boycott of all things Hollywood for this. I'm too much of a history buff to resist.

Last time I went to the movies was to see "1917".

Looks worth watching!

That is rare these days.

I probably won't go to a theater to do so though.

I’m just not going to watch a movie with a 49-year-old actor playing a 30-year-old guy.

I'd rather read a book about Napoleon and save my TV time for something better.

I used to have a pretty nice WWI Enfield like seen in that movie. Seeing the trailer for it makes me wish I hadn't sold it. Not sure if I've seen it, based on watching the trailer (which doesn't spark a lot of memories), so I think I will have to rent 1917.

Adjusted for the times - being 30 then is like being 50 today.

I know one guy who's a Napoleon nut - that's his jam 100% and has done a ton of research on the movie. Says it should be pretty good considering.

That’s why you’re confined to online dating.
