I decided I wanted to carry my 4” S&W 16-4 in an OWB holster. I had some Roper grips on it which fit my hand perfectly and are beautiful. The only problem is they are a little bulky. I have never owned a set of “Magna” style grips for any of the K or N frame guns I have used and carried. I picked up a cheap set of Magna type grips for it and mounted them up and they actually feel pretty good. They look pretty good too

I've got some that came on my M27, they seem comfortable until you shoot the heavier loads, then I bark my knuckles. I ended up putting Hogue wood on mine.

I like a grip adapter for them on square butts. Round butts like on my L-frame are good for me without an adapter. I have a T-Tyler on my 4" M19.. I guess they're hard to get now.

While I agree with the style you have chosen I just cannot go with laminated stocks.

Nice holster! Is that a Tucker?

I need to find a model 16. Not until I do Get ready to spend some $$$$ They bring a premium nowadays. And S&W didn’t make a whole lot of them.

Six, it is dated chambering superceded by more modern calibers .327 Federal and .30SC.

I have flirted with having it rechambered to .327 Fed but there isn’t much the .327 would give me over the .32 H&R. Maybe if it was a 6” barreled gun? This is my second 4” 16-4 and hopefully I will keep this one a while. The main purpose is to carry it when I am hunting with a T/C Contender or a scoped revolver.

You'd think they could have fit seven in that cylinder size.

I would leave it original and sell it at premium price. You can buy something a lot more practical for 1/3 price or less. This gun has no redeeming features that is why it sold so poorly, therefore, fewer were made. You can buy superb K-frame for carry known as Model 12. It was available as 2" or 4" RB with longer barrel less often encountered. The SB gets in way of better concealment in CCW.

Nice gun. Are those seven shooters? A K 22 is still six shots. Nice rig!

Magna's are small for me until the Redhawk enters the conversation.
