The smartest thing to do is email Boyds.

They don't put any identifying marks on them, just a date. I have been down that road before. They use a little paper stick to identify them and they come off easily. I wish they would stamp them on the butt.
I can't imagine a company that makes as many stocks as they do, not being able to id that stock at a glance. Surely the pic you provided would be sufficient. If they can't id their own stock I don't know how they stay in business

They are the same. Only a few calibers made too with 243 being the smallest.
Looks like a Win 88/100 but that 1/4 inch is a head scratcher

Yes, they are very similar, yet there are several differences as well. 1/4 of wood on the sides of an 88 or 100 is a lot and their weak spot anyway.
