Hi guys who here has experience with these optics?

I am looking at the SLx. What are the differences between Gen 3 and Gen 4? Only the reticle or something else?

Thx

Check out Mrgunsngear on YouTube. He may have a review of what you’re looking at.

The SLX 1-6 is pretty bad, but priced accordingly. The NOVA reticle is the only one worth having. The rest are for larping.

I had to google the acronym. Learned something.

How would you rate the PA 1-6 (both Classic and SLX) for use as a base for a thermal clip on to shoot hogs?
I will be using a Smartclip adapter for 30 mm tube.

Basically, all they need to do is carry the clip-on and hold true. The reticle #4 with illuminated dot in the classic would work much better for me than any of the cluttered tactical styles.

I would offer that you consider some of the PA competition. PA lower end optics are made in China. That matters to some, not to others. I have the one below on Black Friday sale at Sportsman's Warehouse. Made in Korea. It's a fantastic scope. The reticle is simple, uncluttered and for me makes for quick acquisition. Eye relief is good and the scope is easy to get behind. Illumination control is good, but in an absolute pitch black room on the lowest setting you'll get some washout. That won't likely translate to washout in any hunting situation.
