This year has been a rough one. Both of the friend/landowners of the farms I’ve hunted, worked and played on for the last 25yrs passed away. One farm was immediately sold and the other went to a desiccated cunnnt of a niece that has been trying to run me off for years, she got her wish this year…. Quite frankly I considered hanging it up, my heart just wasn’t in it to try state land. A friend offered me his property just a mile from my house. Didn’t have any faith whatsoever of even seeing a deer as this property is an active sporting clays range. I was only able to hunt a couple hours in the morning before they set up for clay shooting. Opening morning yielded sighting of a couple does…..if there’s girls there should be boys…..🤔😀 Second morning I had a doe come through with this guy hot on her heals. AccuBonds did their thing and I had a nice 3yr old on the ground. I wouldn’t have bet on even seeing a deer much less killing one on this place. Niccceeee….they are always shooting all the time on a property near my deer lease….I think the deer just get used to it over time.

Nice buck hangunner! I used to hunt literally right behind a scrap metal yard. Diesel engines running and banging and clanging all day. The deer paid it no attention. They had heard it all their lives. I think it was more annoying to me!

I've seen deer cross a shooting range, while we were shooting, a few times. They get use to the noise and dont pay it any attention.
