Last time I was at camp I checked one of my camera's. I was hoping to see a nice Buck that has been showing up.
I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. I thought I would share it. I posted it in the deer section but probably should have put it here since it is a video of Turkeys not Deer.
Anyway they don't look real happy that the Hawk showed up and grabbed a squirrel.
I have seen turkeys do the same thing when they run across a snake. Circle it and carry on like crazy. I have even had gobblers respond to me predator calling and making prey distress sounds. They stride in very obviously agitated. Strange birds in many ways.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
Got to watch a Bald Eagle going after turkeys out in a field in NW IL a couple years ago. Looked like helter skelter out in that field with turkeys running in every direction! Eagle didn't have any luck getting a turkey that time, just like me lol!, but then did go over in a tree overlooking the field, and very vocally, voicing its displeasure at the turkeys!

It isn't what happens to you that defines you, it's what you DO about what happens to you that defines you!
Buddy was hunting in FL and got a young eagle flying in and hitting his decoy on camera. It was cool to see the eagle sitting there with a puzzled look before flying off.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
Had a big Owl come in, in response to my calling. It landed in the tree I was sitting against, not 3 feet above me and was intently checking out my 1 lonely decoy. I thought about cutting loose with a call to see how the Owl would react, but got a real good look at those talons just above my head and decided no to!

Never seen owl crap in person but you might have been able to see if it was as slick as everyone says it is, had you decided to do that.

They say a turkey will feed with the sun at its back as so they will see the shadow from a predator or bird of prey coming.
Years ago I had a hawk try to get my turkey decoy, it would fly way high and do a spiral like a tornado and come down and test the decoy, watched it do it 7 times, the last time it grabbed the decoy's head. Cool to watch.
