Anyone using the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires?

Time for new tires on my Tundra, local shop has recommended the Baja Boss AT. Don't do much Interstate driving, more local roads, and some gravel and poorly maintained logging roads. Plan to run them year round, and live in snow country.

SO...not too concerned about road noise, good all around braking/ride/traction more important. I'm on unplowed roads in winter sometimes so looking for better deep snow performance than the Michelins I have now. I have chains but don't like using them!

I just moved from a Silverado Z71 to a ZR2 which came with Goodyear Territory M/T tires. I haven't had good experiences with Goodyear tires ever but 3000 miles in including elk and deer hunting trips, and so far I've been impressed. For what its worth. In the process, I talked to a guy with the Mickey Thompsons on his and he liked them, I don't think anyone carries them locally.

Not familiar with that tire, and don't know what size you need for your Tundra, but Wal-Mart has some pretty good deals on tires for black Friday.

Bought these for my daughter's truck @ $123/tire: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cooper-Discoverer-All-Terrain-265-70R17-115T-Tire/5033152578

Bought these for mine at $150/tire: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Goodyear-Wrangler-Authority-A-T-275-65R18-116S-All-Terrain-Tire/430662380

They have the 10-ply version of the Cooper for $135: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cooper-D...65706&campaign_id=9383&sharedid=

I have wanted to try that tire. From looking at reviews it is rare to hear a complaint about Mickey Thompson tires.

If you can stomach the purchase price, I think they'll do exactly what you want, and they have a pretty good milage warranty also.

My son has a set on his behemoth Ram 2500 diesel. They get loud as they wear. He has pulled a camper all over the USA as he moves for the military. No issues on road.

I have to remind him to be careful not to chew up my gravel driveway as they really dig in on sharp turns and acceleration. Seem to grip very well. Too much tire for me but if mostly driving rougher terrain, I'd own a set.

Ordered a set of the Baja Boss A/T today. Narrowed choices down the the Baja Boss, Falken Wildpeak, or Nokian Outpost. Will get them mounted next week.

I ran a set of the XL for a while, they are the closest I could get to an MT without going to an LT. They were a good tire but I wouldn’t recommend them on a daily highway driver.

My next tire will be the new GOODYEAR WRANGLER DURATRAC RT

You will like them. I went with the MTZ on my CJ6.

The A/T are a good tire.

I would also recommend you look at Cooper Discover AT3 XLT. They have the 3-peak snow rating, are fairly quite on the road and they do not pick up gravels as badly as many AT tires.

I have them on my F250 Super Duty and are very happy with them.

Cooper Build The Mickey Thompsons I've Ran a Set Of 275 70r18 On The Tundra For Last Two Years..Zero Complaints..They Have about 40,000 On Them And Could Probley Get another 10,000 For The 50,000 That Their Warranty States..But I'm Gonna Change Them Out..And Will Buy The Same Tire Again..They've Done Everything, I've Ask Them..They Balance and Ride Good. And Haven't Noticed Them To Be Loud at All...Think You'll Be Well Pleased..
