Wannabebwana: your own lack of such ability to shoot some of these animals, since I’ve never seen a hunt pic. I do get out, but no tags drawn this year. My last outing with a rifle while Cookie was doing her thing. In the spirit of Wilson from Tool Time. Did get in a week of floating and steelhead fishing this fall though.

A couple more cacti with the second having sort of an axis configuration. One of the two campground bucks that hustled the local ladies. An apple dump in the morning would bring in the does, and a buck or two would usually follow. Pretty easy to run them down on any given day. A couple guys exhibiting their challenge postures. Ears back, some circling, and a little grunting warns one of a potential scrap. This guy was about early on, but it was about 3 weeks into Cookie's run before he got within camera range. A substantial neck on this one. A no intro needed coyote. Not many around this year, as I think our rodent population is down. I look forward to this thread every year. Tell the wife thanks. And great pics

Troops: Thanks for the comments, as they make one's effort seem worthwhile. Also, do feel free to contribute constructive suggestions as well. With wildlife, one pretty much has to deal with the lighting and compositions Mother Nature hands out. Still appreciate thoughts though that might contribute to improvement. For me, it's mostly just one of the many reasons I use to get out. Once in a while the boss will let me pack a camera, and if I fall down, it occasionally goes off letting me claim a shot. Doesn't happen too often though.
