Anyone have experience with Tract scopes? Showing they are U.S.A. engineered and manufactured in Japan using Japan glass. Are they made in the same plant as the Zeiss Conquest and the Weaver Grand Slam series scopes? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

I run 3 and am very happy with them. Mine have all tracked and held zero perfectly. Glass is also very good. They are built by Light Optical Works which knows how to build quality optics. I’m also a huge fan of their binos.

Thank you for the quick reply. Just trying to do some “due diligence” before pulling the trigger on one. I have several Weaver Grand Slam series scopes that I believe were manufactured in the LOW plant and they have been rock solid for me. Thank you for your time as I truly appreciate.

I have a copy of the Tract Response 4-16x42mm with a BDC reticle. The glass is very good and even though I use set-and-forget methods, I found the turret function to be spot on. It's made in the Philippines, but I don't think it would have been made any better in Japan. My only dislike is the tactical appearance of the thing. I just don't care for that.

I like them. Nice glass, good adjustments, and some models come with a zero-stop kit in the box. Their T-Plex reticle is excellent for hunting and now comes with an illuminated center dot on some models. They don’t come with caps, which annoys some, but that just means you can buy the ones you really want. IIRC, they list the proper sizes in their specs.

If you can wait, they often have pretty good sales.

Thank you Pappy348. The more positive reviews I receive as well as read about them..the more I’m thinking about
purchasing one. Thank you for your comments.

I have two, a Tekoa and a Toric, and have mounted two others (1 Toric, 1 Tekoa) for friends. They are excellent scopes in my opinion. Mine track perfectly and the glass is very good, they get dialed regularly. The other nice thing is that if you have a question and call them, you will likely talk to one of the owners themselves. Both very knowledgeable and helpful.

Try a search and you may come up with even more positives. They appear to be good scopes.

I have 5 of the 3 - 15 BDC Torics and 2 or 3 of the Turion 3 - 9, by far my favorite version. I wish they would produce them again, even as a limited run. I would buy all I could afford. The Turion was made in Japan, the tall turret kit for the Tekoa fits them and it's about as close to perfect as a scope can get.

All,

Cannot thank you enough for all your feedback . It has been positive and I’m going to purchase one and give them a shot. I just have to figure out which one. I do hunt but this scope will be placed on a bolt action rifle to be used primarily for long range shooting (500-1000 yards) as I’m just getting into this arena. Not competitively rather for fun. Again, many thanks for all your time and feedback.

I have 3 of the Tract Toric 2-10x42 and like them a lot. Good glass and consistent adjustments. At their sale price they are a bargain in my opinion.

Just had a guy come out today to look at one of my Tract scopes. A 4-20x50 Toric. I had him compare it to a Swarovski Z5 3-18x44. He preferred the Tract.

The guy who came over to look at my scopes did call Tract and talk to the owners. He said they were very nice and helpful.

I was unsure if my oldest Toric 2-10x42's was still tracking reliably. I called Tract and the owners asked me to send it to them. One of them took it too the range and shot a a series of groups showing it tracked perfectly. He sent me the target to document his assessment. I am impressed.

Have a Toric UHD 3-15X42(1" tube). The German Schott glass is amazing. Turrets track perfectly. I'll own more

Have a Toric 3-15, T-Plex. Outstanding scope and the turrets do exactly what you tell them to do, every time.
