rio7 thanks good conditions for pigs and coyotes. Got me thinking about the Wolves here .I am on board with their presents here now as long as we can hunt trap and snare them . I have shot most stuff here and the only thing I really have the hots for is Mr Wolf ! At 74 years old my body is holding up fairly well but howling around in the cold and snow is less appealing every day ! The wolves have thinned out here considerably compared to 5 to 10 years ago . Baiting is still a no no and that is really bad for me ! I think of several bad horses I could have shot in just the right spot ! Thick steep timber deep snow ,no motorized vehicles and and thus we will have plenty of the Wolves to keep our dreams wet for a life time. Thank goodness I quit the sheep business in in 2005 .

You never know, one of those horses could die of “ natural causes” in just the right place.

Wolves or coyotes prefer horse over anything else I e seen them get into and will travel a long way to get it.

Just saying.

I have heard tell that a mountain lion will pass over a lot of game/domesticated to get to some horseflesh!
