I'm offering a near-new Bergara B14 Ridge with a 22" threaded barrel (MSRP $949, online $829) in a fairly new chambering (6.5 Creedmoor) as trade bait for a Savage 99. I'm hoping that someone might want to take a step into the modern world while I take a step back.
My first choice would be almost any model Savage 99 other than an R, first choice of chambering is 250 Savage.
Second choice is essentially the same, but in 30-30 Win.
Why not an R, you ask? I don't like that fat forearm and that rifle model has always seemed heavier than necessary for me. I also don't like the cheap more recent E models that that don't have cartridge counters in the receiver.
Yes, if someone is so old-fashioned as to offer cash as a trade for the Bergara, I'd consider it.
