IBC is good stuff. Virgil's is a bit different, but also very good.

I never did like A&W that much. Too much sugar, not enough root beer flavor.

The el cheapo Walmart Great Value stuff isn't half bad.

Store bought, IBC.

Best ever, homemade stuff my mom used to make in an old milk can. Dry ice, water, root beer flavoring, 42lbs of sugar. Bubbled like a witches cauldron.

According to 'fire guidelines, it has to be some obscure local/regional brand in order to be worth a chit.

Tdoyka,

Agreed on the Birch Beer.
Like Frozen Run, but any of the generic brands are good too.
(I don't like most generic Pop)

Picked up some Frostie’s from Gibson’s an hour ago. Haven’t had it in a while.

Boylan's! That was the name I was trying to remember. Duh. Best root beer I ever found, but not available around here. They also have birch beer and black cherry.

You inadvertently made a good point.

It’s pop. Not soda.

Best store-bought I had was Dad's

Best overall was made in house at an
old hamburger drive in called Vel-Mar's
Brought out in a frosted glass mug.
Good hamburgers and fried taters too.
Long since closed up and made into a
tote-the-note lot, as if another one was
needed around here

No other decent hamburger joints around
anymore. The yuppies killed em all out
with bad internet reviews
Nothing left close but McSalty's and
Booger Queen and Jack in the Crack
and a few cardboard "pizza " places.
One decent Williams Fried Chicken
place about a mile away
They don't serve spit burgers

Cal-Ranch stores have a great selection of craft root beers. I've tried them all.

Not your father's root beer.
