I've never seen a Fisher in person but after some internet sleuthing, I think have identified this animal on my trail cam as one. Initially, I thought it was a young fox, but the walk and gait is wrong for that.
While we do have some fox up there, this critter in the video above seems different to me. The hump in its' back, the way it carries itself. Just seems different.
Honest answer,I'd say gray fox walking funny cause he's looking for a place to poop.
My guess is similar .. I think it is interested in SOMETHING so its walk is not a traveling walk, it is .. investigating. Yep, a place to "drop a deuce" might be what it is investigating.
We have fishers not far away and I run into them in a couple spots. They're big weasels more or less. This thing in the video doesn't seem any closer to a fisher than it does to a fox based on this particular bit of footage.

Anyone who thinks there's two sides to everything hasn't met a Mbius strip.
I have seen a number of fisher in the woods and around the house when I lived up north. Have also put the steel on more than a few. Same with grey foxes. I think it is much more likely that it's a grey fox. It's got too much leg under it to be a fisher.
