ASU...a 2 part question sir...You are WTB a matte finish 20 gauge barrel...is that to match the matte finish of the receiver, of a Remington 870 "EXPRESS"...or a Remington 870...all EXPRESS receivers are magnum receivers...the EXPRESS has also gone away...as the MAGNUM markings have...but all Remington 870's built from 1987 on were built with a "magnum" capable receiver...(well except for some high dollar TRAP guns)...and SUPER MAGNUM in 12 gauge gets you up to 3 1/2" capable...so the question is...What does the roll stamp mark on the receiver say?, and what is the finish on the receiver ? And a follow up...Your post says that the receiver says EXPRESS...does the serial number end in the letter "M"...early EXPRESS models didn't have the MAGNUM stamp but the "M" suffix designated a magnum receiver, as they all were, but newer EXPRESS receivers do not have the "M" suffix but are magnum capable.
And lastly... is the recoil pad for a wood stock or plastic stock? They are different.
