For sale is a S&W rifle made by Husqvarna on the 1900 action. This one is a Model C (non-monte Carlo & schnabel forearm) and it’s chambered in 30-06.

Bore is clean and bright. The metal is good all over with a little wear on the blue around the muzzle and a few light freckles on the barrel in front of the receiver. Aluminum floor plate.

The wood is in pretty good shape with a few dings here and there and the checkering is very good. The plastic-type finish on it has cracking in it that is tough to capture in the pics, but I think you can see it in the ones I took. I’ve read that folks have been able to strip that and put a new finish on or go to an oil-type.

It’s a trim little gun (20” bbl) that carries nicely and points well. 13 3/4” LOP. Flip up adjustable rear site. Plastic S&W butt plate with white line spacer. These accept small ring Mauser rings/bases.

I bought it for the action but I have more of these 1900’s than I’ll ever get around to building so selling off this one to make a bit more room in the safe.

Would like $575 shipped for the rifle.

Is this the push feed or long claw extractor?

Thanks, guys. Yup, this is the push feed design. I’ll get some more pics posted tonight of the bolt out of the gun, area around the safety, trigger & trigger guard, etc.

Want to make sure anyone interested feels like they know exactly what they’re getting.

The action alone is worth the asking price.

Those are nice rifles that like you said carry and point very well if they fit. I’ve had a couple but the one that was in 243 was a sweet piece but I gave to a friends Daughter in CO and she’ll never part with it

BTW the finish problem on the butt stock is not cracking but appears to be ‘ alligatoring ‘. A condition that occurs when too much material is applied and it skins over before the vehicle or solvent flashes off. Guessing the gun was refinished in the recent past and somebody, who was spraying laid down to much. Not a big deal just needs to be sanded smooth and refinished.

If I needed another 30-06 this would be the gun to have at that price over most guns made today

The spare/loaner rifle that I routinely carry when I travel to hunt is a twin to this rifle, number 3648xx. Very smooth, very reliable. and very accurate.
