It's all about power and control and making us all serf's. Loo at all the homes Blackrock and the rich are buying up so we will have to rent and not own. Tell me, what's their long term plan ?? I think I know already.

Ever since John Kerry came back from Vietnam, he has shown that he is a complete waste of human flesh. He should do his part to fight climate change and stop breathing.

What do you think the scenario will be when they ban meat and shut down the corporate meat suppliers. Individuals will then start raising their own meat. Do you really think that local law enforcement will go out and try to stop individuals from raising their own meat? Do you think local law enforcement believes their lives will be worth stopping you from raising chickens, rabbits, pigs or cattle?

But, that is a problem that will come to fruition long after I'm gone.

In the rural counties without nearby large cities, probably not. The larger counties (population wise) with larger cities and leaning heavily to the left, the law enforcement will do as directed or be replaced by those who will. Despots never lack for enforcers.

I don't think hiding in the country is a winning strategy here.

Since 1999, we have lived "in the country" - as far as possible from the rotten places as we can manage at this stage of life, even when needing to lower the altitude. It has been a winning strategy for us. We will do so as long as we are alive.

Others will be living longer. What will you do?

At least in the country you can grow your own anything. A cow, pig, chickens, rabbits, hunt, fish, and grow vegetables that are not tainted with salmonella, growth hormones, etc.

Only grudge I have against Vietnam is that they did not add Kerry to the KIA list.

That is the solution my forebears used during the World War rationing. They had cattle, hogs, chickens, and goats. Along with that they had a country store and a cotton gin. The whole community black and white was provided with meat, milk, and eggs and a lot of it was on credit against the coming crop.

The problem nowadays is how few people live in a rural enough environment to raise any significant amount of meat even for a small family. You might notice that government policy does not favor living in the boondocks.

If anyone ever exhibited PTSD, it's him. In one of the campaigns it was told how he chased down a kid and killed him. He came home and threw his medals over a fence at a demonstration.

Feelings of guilt can manifest itself in bizarre thinking.

I'd have chickens and pheasants if it wasn't for the fugginbears. Too much bother.

We could raise skeeters, but the eggs are sooooo small.

Yes. They will. If they won't, they'll be soon replaced by someone who will. Or simply, it won't be local lar enfarcement that will do it.

These so called “elites” do not believe that history will repeat itself. The French aristocracy in the 1790s likewise believed that revolution was not possible. After years of bad wars, mismanaging and plundering the treasury, followed by several years of bad harvests, the citizens of France rebelled and eradicated the ruling class. It’s just a matter of time that we see this play out again. The bug thing may be the catalyst to ignite the fire.

They can see your goats and cows and your little garden from space. Anywhere on the globe. There is no hiding.

The whole "a country boy can survive" is very unrealistic romanticism.

Are you a boomer? "This worked for me so it should work for everyone forever" is a very boomerific mindset.

As far as what I am doing the most significant is that I have 3 White children and expect more. 2 of the 3 are being educated to home so they receive an actual education and to minimize their chance of contracting social transmitted mental illnesses.. The third isn't yet formal learning age but will follow the same program.
